I am posting this here first - a pal of mine has a longbow for sale. It is a Wapiti Spike longbow, made by J.K. Chastain here in Colorado. This is his web site: www.worldclassbows.com/Look under "Longbows" and you will see the Spike listed first. It is not for lefty's... Sorry. This bow has seen little use, take a peek at the pics below... It is to short a draw length for me! The bow is 62 inches long, good up to a 28 inch draw length. It measured 56 pounds at 28 inches last night. The bow says 57#... That's not bad... The brace is set to 6 3/8 inch. It has just under a quarter inch tiller. Shoot 2 under and 1 over. It is pleasant to shoot. This bow runs $525 new, this one is very close to new, on the used market they run for $375 - you can check that here, look under longbows: www.rmsgear.com/bowshop_inventory.htmThe asking price for this bow is $300 plus shipping. I'll give this a couple days and then post it on another site...

Hmmmm... Looking at the above pictures, the bow looks like it has a gloss finish. It does not. The light was poor when I took the pics and I adjusted them a bit... Maybe to much? The bow does not have a gloss finish. Sorry about that, I am not trying to mislead anyone!

Hi Everyone - This bow never sold. These economic times being what they are, nobody even made an offer on it. It has zero additional wear on it, as in not shot at all in the last year.
The price is now $275 plus shipping. Tell me your draw length and I'll see if I have any arrows I could toss in to the deal (no promises but I'll see what I have.) This would be a great Xmas gift for a traditional shooter, or a compound shooter that wants to give a longbow a try!

Well, once again, this bow is up for sale. Same deal as listed above - it never sold and the owner just forgot about it - again. He found it again the other day, so if anyone has an interest, drop me a line and we can go from there. Only change in the below info is that the new price of these bows has gone up a bit... But not for this one! Thanks.

What is your draw length if that it to short for you? I would guess that it would be just fine for you, other then the draw weight would be pretty high. It can be used at dl higher then 28", 28" is just the general standard for traditional bows. It is a good looking bow for the price.

I draw 31 inches - which is just a tad to much for this bow. I could shoot it, but why? There are other bows out there that simply are a better fit for me. Otherwise, you are correct, it is a great bow for the price!

Otherwise, you are correct, it is a great bow for the price! That is what I was assuming, that you had to have a really long draw. It is bit more bow then I would like (dw), and I am always broke, so it is a no go for me. Are you on any of the other tradbow sites? I would think that you could get it sold.
