I might be the last to know ... but I had no idea he's been paralyzed for 4 months! I have to admit, there's been times when I wanted to just slap the crap out of him, but in the end I always enjoyed watching his show.

This guy has done more to undo what some of the gentleman of this sport set out to accomplish.

was just talking to Doegirl about this response and I dont think that she understood why I felt this venom.

Well here it is...

I knew Fred Bear and I had a great deal of respect for how he carried himself in the field.
Today...Fred would tell you that Tred needs to be taken out of the public eye and should have been taken out long ago.

I am not perfect but I dont film and release what Tred has.
And I wouldn't!.

The a$sholes that produce that show and air it are even worse!.
They are the conduit for making our community look like a collective bunch of knuckle dragging neanderthals....which by and large....may be getting closer to the truth than I would like to believe.
If we are going (collectively) down this rat hole then it is due to the fact that Tred barta is convincing people out there that this is perfectly acceptable.

Even Ted Nugent had the good graces to listen to Papa Bear and reform his wac 'em and stack 'em menallity....and we all know that Ted didn't do it just because he was asked to

Yeah, let's all watch Tred wound animals. That guy was the worst. I've seen a few of his shows, and never tuned in again.

Then again, I really don't like any of those hunting shows to begin with.

Seen one of his shows this morning, I don't feel so bad for missing as much as I do now. LOL Of course, he's shooting at animals, and I'm shooting at a target.

This is the attitude that is getting more prevalent now-a-days and it's a bad attitude to have.

BT - funny you mentioned Papa Bear. I watched a video clip from his last interview he was asked something along the lines ...
"If you could tell the people watching anything, what would you tell them?" He said, Don't miss. I've been watching the Fred Bear collection I've had stashed for a while now and compared to those shows on now ... it's like night and day. I never knew Papa Bear, but I heard nothing but good things about him.

I watched this one episode where Tred goes to this ranch, and claims that he is going to attempt to shoot a coyote with the long bow.

Apparently these guys had been having trouble with them, and Tred was going along to take one. He went into detail about how hard it was, and all that, and you really thought that it would end up with him getting one.

Not even close! This guy couldn't get into any kind of range of one, and the guides even told him to stand back while they shot with a rifle because they didn't want to spook them. And guess what? They missed!! ;D

What a joke. I could start my own show....Spike's Outdoors..Hey that sounds good....and tell everyone what I was going to do, then never close the deal. Sounds like a good show, right?
