Well my 2009 season is over! Unfortunately, I don't have any land in the January season area!! The 3 1/2 month season flew by!! I hunted harder then I've hunted in the past 2 years, and it felt good. My freezer doesn't show it, but i'm pretty happy with my season. I only tipped one, but it was my best to date. I passed at least 6 shots with the bow on smaller bucks, and passed on a 5 pointer with the rifle. All within 25 yards. I missed a real, real nice 8 with the muzzleloader . So, I definitely had oppurtunities. I am so ready for Sept 15, 2010. I'm ready to get back in the stand. I really didn't want this season to end. On the bright side, it's only 257 days until the 2010 archery opener!!!!

You will both have to show bow hunters safety course paperwork to get CT licences. If either of you will be needing to take a class, There are a few through out the year at Algonquin. I can give you a heads up if needed.

Yeah, I have mine but here is a question...
Cant you just show proof of licensing in a state tat has the same requirements?. Every state does this or at least that is to say that every one where I have been.
What about actually getting the license? ... where?

Connecticut demands proof of hunters safety course, and doesn't accept an out of state license as proof. Thats stopped VonnOtto from hunting here a few years ago. The course is one day, and free. As for getting the licence, after you have your cert. you can get it online. One of the better things CT has done. I just got my 2010 small game licence about 10 minutes ago, so I can go after squirrels with the shot gun in the morning.

Can you get the licenses at dicks, walmart and such?. Seemed to me that they were saying that you had to go to specific area's such as town halls, etc..
