20 years for me! God that seems like a long time! I'm 31 now and killed my first with a bow at age 11. It was 24 days into the season, but there were a whole lot less deer back then. I hunted every single day and that was the first deer I had in bow range. Oh how times have changed!

My first deer hunt was in 1987. I guess this makes my 23rd year hunting deer.

I have been bow hunting deer since I was 14, so 14 years of hunting under my belt. I took my first deer at age 15. It's only the past 5-6 years though that I've really started to figure it all out.

I killed my first deer when I was 10 with a shotgun. I didn't get into bow hunting till I was 17 years old and I didn't take it serious till I was 20. I was to busy chasing the other type of whitetails and bow hunting went on the back burner. At 21 put down my old bear whitetail bow and purchased a X-bow and I killed my first deer with a x-bow that year. At 25 years old I was in a bad work accident and I couldn't bow hunt for 6 years, that was the worst 6 years of my life. In 2004 I purchased a new PSE and I wasn't able to hunt till 2006 with it. Now I am in the woods all that I can be and filling my freezer. So I have over 17 years chasing deer but really only about 8 years in the woods with a bow taking out the years I never could get in the woods.
