The board length is hard for me to read, it should read 28 inches long.
Also note, the center post that sets the string length goes up in one inch increments on the board, but results in two inch increments of string length. It starts at 54 inches on my jig and ends at 74 inches. If you went to half inch spacing on the board, then you'd get one inch increments in string length. I hope that makes sense! Last, since you will want to be able to move the length setting post, or nail, you will want to make a hole that the nail can be put in and pulled out without a nail puller... So, cut the head off of one of the nails, and then use the nail as a drill bit to make the hole for the peg. Toss it away after drilling! Grab a new nail, and you will find it fits just dandy in to the hole you just drilled. For the other nails on the board, I predrilled those with a smaller bit and then hammered them in. I didn't want to risk a split on my board with all those nails in a row. Also, if you predrill with care, you get straight nails rather then nails all at different angles on your board! If you use a drill press, or a tape wrapped drill bit to mark depth, you can get them all at a nice uniform depth, too. Just looks better...

I forgot to mention nails... I bought them at Ace Hardware. One box and you can almost go into business making these things! Also, just to make life more simple, I cut the head off of the nail that you start with and tie the B50 to. I am all thumbs when it comes to removing that little wrap, so I cut the head off so the string just pulls right off. Otherwise, it will get caught on the head of the nail and you have to undo it. As I said above, I am all thumbs and it is easier to just lift it up and off.
