There is supposed to be a guy in Boulder, Colorado, who is making bows from that part of the world. I'll try to dug up some info on him, and post what ever I can dig up.
I also dug up an article on an old original bow from over there that had broken. Since it broke, they took it apart to see how it was made. A wonderful article, I'll try to dig that one up again as well.

You would certainly get some attention any time you pulled it out to shoot! My understanding is that it only takes about 18 months to make one, when you actually know what you are doing... I like the birch bark though... May have to give that a try!
