The local Hoyt dealer in my town held a Thanksgiving indoor 3D animal shoot on Friday. I stopped in to shoot the 2010 line-up when he asked if I was gonna shoot. I forgot about the shoot but said what the heck and went home and got my bow. I swapped out my hunting sight and put on my sword sight and came back to shoot. I haven't shot hardly any since hunting started, but to my surprise shot a 305 and came in 2nd place.
Now for my actual question: The manager of the store asked if I'd be interested in shooting for them as a staff shooter. He will give me 30% off their sale price on any new bow and discounts on accesories. Since I have really been wanting to buy a target bow, this works out pretty good and I go to most all of the shoots anyway. But which bow to buy?
I will be shooting both 5-spot and 3D. I am having a tough time deciding between the Vantage Pro and the Contender. If I got the Contender it would be the longer version with the XT 3000 limbs and the Cam and 1/2. Numbers wise this makes the two bows nearly identical. Any of you guys shoot these two bows or have experience with them?
