Anyone check out the '10 Hoyt lineup, I don't know if the Carbon Matrix is complete ugly or a thing of beauty. I believe it was High Country that tried using a Carbon material riser in the past that didn't really pan out. Some of the things they did puzzle me though. They release the Matrix with the new carbon riser and then the Maxxis 31 and 35 which has their new version of an in-line cable roller guide and what they call their new XTS Arc limbs. However, the Matrix(new riser material) gets the new XTS Arc limbs, but still has the old teflon cable slide. Makes no sense to me! I'm sure as heck not gonna plop down $1600 for a hunting bow either(rumored Matrix MSRP). The Maxxis 31 and 35 look to be small steps forward from the Alphamax lineup and I love my A-max, but I didn't see anything that would make me run out a buy a new one. What do you guys think? www.hoyt.com/

I two love my A-max and if I had the $$$ I would get another one. You got it right BNB I don't see any real change in the line up that would make me want to buy a new bow.

I like the Alphaburner, the rest of the lineup is just the same bows that they have been offering..an inch ATA here, an inch brace there, etc.. Still making great bows no matter how you look at it.

They look great...really impressed with what they have been offering the last few years. Of all the 2010 bows, I'd be most inclined to look at the Maxxis 31 and the Mathews Z7 (I am still a 1 cam guy at heart). Alas, funds are not unlimited.

Friday I went and shot the Maxxis 35 and the Alphaburner, I have to say that I was impressed with the Alphaburner. I'm not much of a speed guy, I like it but it isn't top priority in my bow choice. With that in mind, the Alphaburner drew and shot surprisingly well. By far the best drawing and smoothest shot of the speed bows I've shot. The Maxxis 35 was very nice, but really no different than my AMax 35. I think I'm gonna look at a target bow this year and keep hunting with my Alphamax

I've tried the Maxxis 31 ... the thing felt good, but the back wall was a little different than what I'm used to. Nothing bad or good, just different. Something to get used to. Now from what I've been told a Maxxis is basically an Alpha Max ... just a MINOR change or two. I haven't shot an Alpha Max yet, but I do know of a place that has one. They also have a Katana and a Vulcan ... I think. Most of the other ones they have on the shelves are Mathews.
