I would like some opinions on this bow from people who have shot it. I have searched and looked but can't find where Doegirl talked about hers. I can get on fully dressed used for $500 and have found several bare bows in the $400 range. By looking at the specs on Bowtech's site and making some estimated calculations, I could hunt Volkswagen's with this thing using the same weight arrow I use now and get over 300fps. This bow is feakin' awesome and will be my next purchase as soon as financially plausible and depending on the reviews I get here. For some reason, I trust the people here more than other sites. I have even found several in the same price range with two sets of limbs-60# and 70#.

I have a short draw length, the brace height did not bother me. IMO, it's one of my favorite bows, it just was too much draw weight for me. Word to the wise don't let anybody draw that bow back with their fingers. I had a friend who did just that in April and he ended up torqueing the string off the big cams, doing about $150.00 worth of damage. Cost me a hunt, too IMO, if your current bow is set as 70lbs, shoot the 82nd @60lb. Make it easy on yourself. For some reason, I started shooting the 82nd with the same draw weight as my other bows and then even bumped it up a few pounds. Big mistake and I ended up hurting myself. I should of gotten one with 50lb limbs, set the ego aside, and backed it down to where I could shoot comfortably. Those cams require considerable EFFORT to roll over. That's where the bow gets it's speed. I hit 309fps with a 295grain arrow, 54# at 26.5". Oh yeah, if you have a tendency to creep, the 82nd will cure you of that. If I could find an 82nd or an old BlackKnight with 50lb limbs, I'd snagged it in a heartbeat.

Get it , lose the heavy aluminum arrows for 350-400gr carbon arrows(closer to 400gr preferably), drop bow weight to 60-65lb(save your shoulder), shoot faster, get similar KE, live happily ever after. Nobody hunts volkswagons in America, only in Germany. ;D Should kill everything you go after in N. America with the right broadhead.

Like I said last night, as soon as the funds are available, I will be looking very seriously. LOL!!! BTW, you have mail.

OMG I need to go take cold shower, or something ;D Willpower is fading....fast Edit: Never mind. I studied those pics in the link and I saw some things I don't quite like. I'm safe, for now That's the problem with these hardcore speed bows. People get stupid with them, and end up damaging them. They put it on ebay or AT and sell it off. That's why I'm so afraid to buy a used bow online. You just don't know that bow's history
