Shooting the recurve did wonders for my tendonitis. It works different muscels then the compound and made my arm feel like a million bucks. No more pain at all.

It worked the opposite for mine. The first time I drew Kris's bow at the CT shoot you guys came to I felt instant pain in the bicep tendon that runs over the front of your shoulder.
I just need time to work with one.

for me I only had issues with the elbow and not anywhere else in my arm. I could see it hurting the bicep tendon.

What you experienced scotty was the norm on occasion....depending on the person. You will work through it though and the only area that See's stress with a recurve is the elbow once you have that arm back in good condition. The elbow will only see stress if the bow delivers back high shock and/or if you shoot with a locked elbow. The bow you shot has very light arrows and is not known for being kind to the shooter A heavier bow with a heavier arrow will work better for you When you do look for a recurve I suggest the '70's Herters sitka series. They are super comfortable and have good mass. If you cant do it down the road then you out maybe $50. as you'll be able to put it right back on ebay and if you do like it then you can pick up a black widow because they are very much alike in design. Just some food for thought

I want to hunt with recurve, but.... I am afraid that buck of a lifetime will be 30 yards out. I can adjust my stand but you can't predict everything. I am hoping to make a bow, then if I tag out with compound those does will have a taste of traditional. From what I hear I will be a trad hunter rest of life but I just can't seem to bring myself to do it. Quote"I want to hunt with recurve, but.... I am afraid that buck of a lifetime will be 30 yards out." unquote Thats bowhuntin, and traditional archery / bowhuntin is up and real close. My shots are takin with recurve is about 25 yards max but 20 yards is my comfort zone. Long bow 20 yards max were 18 is my comfort zone. Traditional bow huntin is way more of a challenge than compound. Most of my kills with traditional gear was from the ground @ 15 steps tucked in a old dead fall "snag as we hillbillies call them" . Any animal takin with traditional gear "For Me" is a trophy. Thats what makes old school VS different from new school
