I have been tied up, but I am going to a gathering at noon that has allot of people from my area that are going to have a little range set up with 3D and regular targets, and there is going to be a coulple of trad shooters there. Check this out www.thejump.net/board/index.phpI will bring my Bow and hope to get in some time with the trad guys, I don't know if this is a good thing or not but we will see.

Don't worry, I'll get there.....I think i already have pics of a couple of my bows on here.....here they are again just in case... The first is a 60" Osage longbow, 40#@26"...the wrap on the limb is because my buddy pulledit before I could tell him it was not made for his long draw length, as cracked the limb...the sinew and hide glue wrap fixed it up nicely...this was my second bow....my first broke cause the wood was too dry... The next is a 72" Bamboo backed hickory, with a Western Diamondback snake skin on it...it is 50#@26"

I am working right now on a bow for my buddy at work....his son is 6, and he wants a bow for him, but can't find a lefty kids bow.....so I am making him one....it is Ash, with Osage tip overlays, and a thin Osage piece faded in on the backside of the grip...will try to get pics of it before I give it to him....my next for me will be a bamboo backed Osage takedown....that one will probably be a buildalong, within the next month or so....keep on the lookout for the thread.

Beautiful bows, flyincedar
I'm fascinated by selfbows, since they are all one of a kind and have so much character. I was surprised to read that their efficiency can be very close to that of fiberglass laminate longbows.
As for me, I have a 55#28" Browning recurve, a 61# @ 28" Chek-mate Thunderbird (flatbow). I primarily use the thunderbird with Beman carbon arrows 100 grain brass inserts and 175 or 200 grain (still experimenting) field points/broadheads. Total arrow weight is around 600-620 grains. I'll be acquiring a 70lb Leon Stewart longbow in the next few weeks as well.

I just got back into Traditional, {I had a bad case of TP and had to stop} I just bought a Martin Hatfield @ 40lbs. My other bows are a Dan Qwinlyn Bamboo long hunter, and a LaClair super shrew.
