Congrats on your choice. I know they are great bows. I can tell you, however, that they are on the crack pipe if they think the Iceman has a harsh draw. I am Mathews fan and owner, so I know a little about smooth draw. The Iceman is smooth, extremely quiet and devoid of any hand shock. Here is a different opinion and some more bow impressions. They gave the Alpha Max a great review as well. www.outdoorlife.com/photos/gallery/gear/hunting/2009/04/bow-test-2009?photo=4

I purchased mine before any reviews were written on they way the bow felt and shot in my hand. Looks like I am not the only who thinks the same.

You know, in retrospect, I should have gotten an Alphamax this year. It really is a great hunting bow. Red.....sold the Fire?! Took me a while to accept that [glow=red,2,300]SMOOTH [/glow]is way more important than fast! Still haven't found anything I like better than my Switchback. The Iceman is a good bow, however.

That is the reason I am still shooting my "slow" Dreanlin LD. Smooth as hell, and feels like I'm drawing 10 pounds less then I am.
