285 is a 25 yard flat flight bow.....no argument to that fact.
Speed does not recognize arrow weight or bow weight.
That said....this is true when shot at 28" or better.
There are exceptions to the rule but generally, you can expect a 1 yard loss to every inch below 28"
This is due to the cast on the arrow which is based on the time/distance that the arrow remains on the string.
This is why short brace height bows are always the fastest at same weight/length/model
Based on this fact, you should be dead on 0-23 yards....at least.
Even if we said it was 22...that would have a elevation loss of only 11/2" @ 25 yards.
At 30 yards you would have an absolute total elevation loss of aprox. 5 1/2" (+/ - 1/2")
You are less than double that amount which suggests that timing is the more likely culprit, as opposed to nock height.
