I am sure I would have Moose Fever and be shaking a little and a 60 yard shot with the branches in the way I would have to wait. Better to let him live than chance wounding him. Thats a pretty good reason Thats the idea behind shoot/dont shoot. Each person has to make the decision based on their terms and each person does see things differently. Expressing those views (each of us) gives others the opportunity to re-think and learn perhaps.

BT, going by your and Buckshots theory, I would have already peed my pants and probably couldn't shoot because I would be wet and cussing. LOL!!!

This just seems to be my experience, weather it be with gun, or bow. I seem to get the shakes big time when an animal first appears, but when I have the scope, or the pin settled on the animal, I always seem a whole lot calmer.

There is plenty of lung showing for a double lung shot where he is. But he is interested in other things and you could easily cut 20 yards off the shot. Be prepared to draw and start approaching him. Before he will leave he will look at you long enough that you would be able to get a shot off.

I shoot. The trajectory of the arrow will miss all the little branches. 60 yds at a Moose isn't that bad of a shot. When we go to Colorado elk hunting all of us have at least a 60 yd pin. And we practice at that range too. No, that is a double lung kill shot for sure. But having a 60 yd pin doesn't do you any good if you were shaking like I would be shooting at something like that. I have always wanted to go Moose hunting with a bow. When the guide calls one of those monsters up. Man what a rush that would have to be!
