I am trying to get the best arrow set up.I have been shooting beman ics hunter 500's at 26 in.I have ended up with some 25 in from broken and re cut arrows. They seem to shoot as well as the 26" with 100 gr.F/p's.With both bows. Today I put on two Nightmare 100 gr B/H's and shot 20 + 30 yds. They were all over the map . I put the 25 in. arrows away and took out two 26 in. and shot the two arrows with both bows at 30 yards and could not believe the differance one inch makes with the B/H over the F/P. Both bows are 53# One with a W/B and no peep the other with a Ripcord and a string peep.I checked the speeds with the 25# arrows and they were less than one FPS differant. : Two shots each from 2 differant 26' arrows at 30 yds.

OFB it is hard to believe that as little as 3/4" of an inch will make a difference all so. I went from a 29 1/4" arrow to a 28 1/2" and there was a big difference in flight in my arrows as well. Just be sure that those shorter arrows don't get mixed up in with your hunting arrows or it may cause you an animal.

looking at your first pick my first thought was you have a spine issue going on Your second pick proved that : The shorter arrows are stiffer and don't group as well as the longer arrows. All pics show you to the right; but are your 20 yard 26" arrows as far to the right as the 30yard pics?

This also points to a fact that I have spoken about previously....stiff isn't the answer. The excepted theory that states that a stiffer arrow is easier to tune is bunk. The easier arrow to tune is the right arrow THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!

That would explain why my bow shop wanted me to bring in one of my arrows Fri. when I picked up my new ones. He cut them to match the ones I am shooting now instead of going with what I told him.

Yes he is. He takes care of anything I need and most time he does it while I wait. I ordered arrows on Fri. and he had them on Mon. He gives honest opinions on products because he doesn't care as much about the sell as the customer being happy. I was looking at some Carbon arrows he had and he said I wouldn't be happy with them. He only keeps them to build 350 gr. test arrows because they aren't good for much else.

Thats a good shop yes it is Very much so indeed It would be great if a shop like his moved in around here. It is hard to find someone who cares more about customer service than the sale. With good customer service the sales will come IMHO.
