I have found a bit of a quandry. My X-weaves are a little more accurate but I think noisier as well.
CX's are a little less accurate but seem quieter. The quieter shaft is a bit heavier. I haven't isolated the cause of the noise, but it only occurs with the X-weaves.
If my primary target was deer, no doubt about it CX's are quiet and accurate enough. For woodchuck accuracy is at a premium, but they can jump the string for sure!
What to do?

Noisier how? On the rest, or in flight?

Thats the question...the arrow or the bow?. Hard to believe a X-weave is more accurate than a CX !. Are the spine ratings the same?....are you pushing the spine range with the weight of the bow?.

Hard to believe a X-weave is more accurate than a CX !. Not for me, I shot the Maximas against the X Weaves for a year, and the X Weaves proved to be more consistant at the longer ranges. Maybe the weight? The X Weaves are 7.5 gpi, and the CX are 7.3. Both performed equally at up to 40 yds...why pay $120 a dz., when you get the same or better quality at $69 - $85. Those were the Maximas, not the CX though.

I have been shooting X-weaves for a long time and I am hard pressed to find an arrow that will out perform them for the cost or quality. I have missed a target and hit a tree on two occasions with the X-weave arrows and the are not even scratched. Once was at a 3-D shoot and I finished the shoot with the same arrow then used it at the next shoot I went to. They are tough and why change when they work and hold up so good. They don't make any noticeable noise that I can tell but I haven't shot any other arrow in a long time tell any difference. The old carbon force arrows though I do believe to be junk but the X-weaves are top notch IMHO.

The noise is definitely in the bow/rest not the arrow in flight. The X-weaves make the extra noise most of the time, but sometimes they are quiet.
I have been slowly increasing my draw and retuning so spine on X-weaves is marginal and I will probably move up to the next higher spine on my next batch.
I have had a small windfall and my drop away rest is in the mail so this issue may be moot.

Yesterday I shot outside for the first time this Spring and the noise is definitely the rest. In the cellar the noise was hard to isolate, but outside the noise was clearly caused by the rest.
