Hello all I was just asked what I thought about a used Browning rage bow and I didn't have much I could tell him.
I have heard that they were made by PSE and now I have heard that PSE has gone under. First off has PSE gone out of business and how hard is it going to be to get parts for a bow like this? Is there any opinions on this bow? What price range should a used one come in at with a packaged type deal with sight, quiver, arrows ... etc?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

PSE and Browning are one in the same. I never heard that rumor but I am sure it is false. The rumor may have started because PSE was using Mathews cams on their X-Force bows for a little $$$$$ in exchange. Peat Sheply of PSE was aloud to use these cams from Mathews because Mathews is/was a solo cam bow company. The new Monster from Mathews looks an awful allot like the X-Force from PSE. The Browning Rage bow new cost $289.99 and if you added the package it would be around $100.00 more. So a used bow that cost $389.99 new I would only give $225.00 max if in perfect condition IMHO. New and Used bows are only worth what you are willing to pay .

PSE...Under?...naw....couldnt be!. Could it? Highly doubtful. They are one of the biggest companies of our time. Even if McPherson wins the lawsuit against their X cams, they now have the Omen, and a slew of other top selling bows. I haven't seen even a rumor of this on any other board.

Like I said it was a rummour that had got around up here. We are so far out of the loop of what is going on in archery that we never know what is going on untill 2 years latter. LOL.
sorry if I scared anyone.

PSE is poking the bear for sure though. Their recent commercials and ads havealot of references to Mathews. Stuff like "We caught you and you know who you are" But since Pete Sheply has been back in the seat things seemed to have turned around. The introduction of high end speed bows and teaming with Dury Outdoors has only got to help them. Time will tell I guess. Interesting enough no one pokes at Hoyt or Bear and finally they left Elite alone. But backto the point of this thread. The Rage was a good bow. It had draw length adjustments of upto 10 inches and was not too pricey making it ideal for a beginner bow. As far as parts I have no idea but basic parts like strings could be replaced with Winner's Choice or another good string.
