What arrows do you use for hunting I use PSE X-Weave 300 but thought I may switch to a weight forward arrow, I am not sure. Any suggestion or thoughts on what is the best hunting arrow or all around arrow out there.

There are lots of ways that I could answer that one. Now-a-days it's getting hard to find bad arrows....although they exist. It depends on the bow and what it's performance is and what you most want out of your rig. If you are looking to optimize flat flight, you have a good shaft now and if you want to go better you'll be looking at a pricer Maxima series shaft. If you want penetration then thats a bit touchier question that is tied much closer to the bows performance.
If your over 300fps, there isn't a need to look for weight when speaking of whitetails within the flat flight range of the bow....which generally exceeds the average shot distance. At this speed (300 and beyond) you are shooting at an item that cannot limit penetration based on skeletal mass.
If you are looking for durability, I am going to go straight to the only shaft I can trust which is the Grizzly sticks. The taper technology assists on penetration and tuning and I have busted only two in 10 years of fooling with them. The Sitka shafts come in at around 400+grns. for bows 62# and under @ 28" and the Alaskan shafts (bows 65# and higher) add about 30 grains to that. (100-125grn. head weights) If I bought the Grizzly sticks it would be for strength first and foremost.

I've been very impressed with Maxima Hunters and Easton Axis FMJ's. It's very hard to destroy an FMJ. I've done it, but I can destroy anything if I put my mind to it. ;D

It is not that I am unhappy with these shafts I was just wondering if going to a straighter shaft would have any real benefit. The STL X-Weave 300 is at a straightness of ± .006. I could go to the Pro X-weave 300 at a straightness of ± .001 So would going to a shaft of a straightness ± .003 or .001 really show any difference in flight for the cost increase of the shaft This is what I meant to say.

I wont hunt with anything over .003 and prefer .002 and .001 That animal (and I) deserve the best performance with no fliers. I dont shoot a shaft over .003 out of a compound and not over .005 out of a recurve.

I would recommend a straightness of .003 or better also ... I have seen a number of FMJ's snap in half on glancing shots. To me they are backwards for strength. Thinking of a pipe (90% as strong as a solid bar) because of the material in the outside wall : the weaker material (aluminum) is on the outside of the shaft and the stronger material (carbon) is on the inside .... they pull from a target nice but would be stronger with carbon outside instead. Personally, I am interested in trying the ABS Sitka shaft with Dorge's Aerovane out of my 70# compound and see how they fly ....

I like the X-weave and I think I will order some of the PRO series with a straightness of .001

.001 or nothing for compounds I have shot Carbon Express for years I switched to Gold Tip pro hunters and they perfomed well for less money and they are made in the USA I still use CX for target because they are easier to get to the IBO weight minimum.I use 7595 in the gold tips that is overkill but I don't break many.
