Just another pic of a one lunged deer that didn't die. I always take occasion to point to the fact that mature deer live as well as die from a one lung shot. When they do die, it is generally that one lung plus something else such as a major artery, liver, etc.. Sometimes they die with one lung but more often than not...they do not. Just another deer proving what the (so called) experts say is impossible * over 14" in the inner cavity and at least 6" past the diagram. (28" arrow}

Wow! I'll bet that makes it hard to get a mate... That arrow is not going away at all. I wonder what tip is on it... I shot a doe one time in the spine, trying for a quick end at sunset. This is a shot I have always regretted. I ended up back at dawn looking for the doe. She was not far off, I knew it was her due to the mark on her sides from the wound. The arrow I found, she had pulled the arrow out. I put another one through her like I meant it, and when cleaning her out I looked at the spine. Muzzy 4 blade, right through the upright flange of her spine. The point being that she pulled the arrow out, right out of the bone of her spine. Why didn't this guy do that? Makes me think this could be a barbed tip. IF so, this is why so many states just say no to barbed tips. They don't pull out.

He does look healthy but from the date on the picture it could have been recent. Either way one wrong move and he could be toast. But they are magnificient creatures. One side of me hopes he lives while the other hopes someone harvested him. Just reminds me.. Practice. Practice and Practice some more
