Took the recurve out tonight

I went out into the woods this evening with the Mamba and the New dipped Gold Tips

The wind was gusting pretty well and the rain was light enough to soften the ground beneath my feet.

I had my Reaper Outfit on and with this and the aid of my moccasins I went through the woods like an apparition

A half an hour before dark I heard a snap

Below , in the swamp , I saw what seemed likely to be my prey and off I went....like a shadow , through the trees and blow downs and foot trails , towards the unsuspecting animal below.

As the last light was slipping from the sky I had myself to within 8 yards and the arrow went to the rest as my target animal grazed at the perfect 1/4ing angle to me.

I drew back , anchored , picked my spot and let down

And still,,,,, I stood there unnoticed ;D

6 more weeks and that deer isn't gonna be so lucky if it doesn't start paying attention

Up here they have the opener marked on their little deer calendars. When it comes they either stay out of sight or just out of range. One guy claims they meet in a big circle in the middle of the woods at night and dress up like MC Hammer and spin around with their baggy pants flying out real big singing "da-da-da-da...can't touch this." Sometimes I think I beleive him.(LOL)
