Trying to tune a bow for a friend's son. (Browning Micro Midas) It is shooting good 3 inch groups @ 20 yds, but they are 10" to the right. He is telling me that the rest can't go any more to the right......What other mechanical changes can we make to pull his groups to the left? Also; as this is a 12 year old he is probably doing something in his form. What do I look for from that stand point. All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance........

What about the sight? Can that be moved? If so, it must be moved to the right. The rest should actually be left of center for that Micro Midas. I've been through two of those and one Micro Adrenaline which is nothing more than a souped up Midas. The rest is approx 3/16ths left of center on my boys(right handed). Hope this helps.

More info. is needed Is the bow shooting the same vertical line from any distance? This is to say , if he shot two arrows at the target , one at 10 and 1 at 20....are they falling the same distance to the right? If so then you need to adjust the sight. If not then you need to move the rest so that the 20 yard arrow impacts the same distance from the bulls eye as does the 10 yard arrow. After that , move the sight to bring those shots to the bulls eye.

If the rest is all the way to right could he be getting fletch contact? Check and make sure of that also using lipstick or foot powder.

Most definitely Royden. That bow is not meant to have the rest all the way to the right. You will not get proper flight. As I said, I've had 3 of them at one time or another and still have my son shooting the Adrenaline. That rest should be slightly left of center.

Thanks to all......I appreciate your suggestions. As it turned out the kid's father didn't realize that the sight I gave them has both a course and fine L/R adjustment. You nailed it on the head the rest was right where it needed to be. After moving the pin he was doing decent groups at 15 & 20 yds. He and his Dad can tinker with it between now and the season and he'll be fine. The kid is small for 12 and with 25" DL shooting 39 Lb. he's pretty limited, but at least he is on stand and learning everytime out. Thanks again guys.....this is why I like what this forum has to offer. I get a call with some questions, I forward it to all the brain power assembled here and in 3 hrs. time I've got a game plan. Oh, by the way; I didn't have any lipstick (Royden) or foot powder , but chalk for turkey box calls works just fine. Eliminated fletch contact right away.
