I shoot 4 three inch yellow feathers!Should I have a mark on them so I mount them the same each time . Hmmmm... With 4 fletching I will assume that you have one fletch every 90 degrees of rotation around the shaft. Each fletching should have the same offset and/or helical around the shaft. The nock should be aligned the same on each arrow. Due to the symmetry on the arrow, and with each arrow set up the same, you should not have to mark anything! Just grab and shoot. That said, if the index of a nock is off a bit, it might shoot OK on the string in one orientation, but not shoot well when turned 180 degrees and shot again. In this case, you need to check the index of the nock, and adjust it so that the arrow shoots right no matter how you set it on the string. Usually though, with 4 fletch, if the arrow has clearance issues one way on the string, it will have clearance issues no matter how you put it on the string. I know a lot of folks who really like 4 fletching just because they don't have to check the arrow position when they slap it on the string. Just yank out an arrow, nock it, draw it, and loose it! No worries! If you are using something other than 90 degree rotation around the shaft with the fletching, let me know. I'd have to check what you are specifically doing to know for sure!
