The only bow I have that is 3-D specific is a recurve. Other than that I prefer to shoot the same bow all year long , so that I am working towards good field performance when the leafs turn color. I used to have a Compound for 3-D but I found it was (in my hands) no better than my hunting bow in the class I shot in. (MHFS) I might be interested in getting one for a Bowhunter Limited class since there are not alot of people shooting that class anymore and it would probably be easier to take home the gold if I were in it

with our club it goes by age groups 17&under and everyone else is left to fight it out.....it depends on if u are using a sight, release, compound...I shoot my hunting bow, and still seem to be coming out on top, so i must be doing something right ;D

My hunting bow is my 3-D bow except I use Carbon Express 300 3-D select arrows.

I have one compound that I use for 3-D as well as hunting. I shoot the same arrows as well. I never understood having a different bow for each. One bow guarantees the shooter will be familiar with trajectory etc.
Traditional is another story. I may pick one of seven for a shoot based on how I feel that day. I have been shooting more of the longbows the last year or so.
