This morning Scotty, Jen, and I shot the course at Harwinton R&G club. There was a pretty light turn out being Mothers Day, and it was a beautiful morning to shoot, though it got windy as the morning progressed. Scotty shot the course with a scope for the first time. He started off a little slow, but really picked up the last 2/3 of the course to end with a 260. Jen shot a solid course. She misjudged 2 targets for goose eggs, but she shot the course with no yardage estimating help at all. She ended up with a respectable 225 even with the 2 0's. She is coming along better then I ever expected.
I brought my new best freind along for the shoot for the second week in a row. I really tried to leave him behind, but he is a pesky little bugger. His name is Target Panic. This is one friend I can't wait to lose. I just can't seem to bring my pin down on a target. My pin freezes up high, and it almost seems like I can't physically bring the pin down. This week I was able to resist the temptation to force the pin down, and slam the trigger. Needless to say, I bombed for the second week in a row. I can shoot paper out to 50 yards with no problem whatsoever, but as soon as I draw on foam....the TP rears it's head. I've got some work to do.
I wasn't really in a picture taking mood today, but Jen and I took a few...here they are.
Scotty at full draw on the elevated platform....
Scotty about to let fly on the bison...yes, thats my arrow up in the hump....
Me shooting a deer through the woods...
Scotty shooting the same deer...
Jen at full draw on the same deer.....
Scotty taking a tough downhill shot on a small fox...
Jen taking the downhill shot...
Me about to nickel the fox...
Me at full draw....
Scott...taking a poke at a goat...
