Next weekend, June 9th and 10th there is a Primitive shoot at our club in CT. Come one, come all! Here is the write up from last year: This event has been growing every year, we have people come from all around the east coast and Canada to attend this special event. The Traditional Only 3D shoot is a full 30 target course on both days. Trophies are awarded in all classeson both days and there are shooting classes for male and female, youth and cubs in many different equipment classes. There is primitve camping available upon prior resevervation. The primitve skills classes are held throughout the weekendand include but not limited to; bowmaking, string making, net building, flint knapping, survival shelters, fire making, primitive cooking, teepee building and much, much more.
We will be releasing more details as they become available,if you would like to be on our mailing list or email list just email us the address listed on this site.Anyone (Kris, Skip) got a trad setup I could borrow for this week to play around with?

I may not be able to make this shoot. I will know later today.
Here are the directions incase you rounded up some guys to come with. It should still be a pretty good time.
Take I-84 into CT. Get off exit 15. At the bottom of the ramp take a left. Follow RT 6 for approximately 7 miles. When you get off the exit the road will be rt 67/rt6. Rt 67 takes a left, be sure to stay straight on rt 6. You will drive through a small town main street (Woodbury). You will be looking for Quanopaug Trail, it will be on your left. There will be a blinking yellow light at the intersection. Turn onto Quanopaug, and Algonquin will be on your right, approximately 1/2 mile. Really simple to get to.
