today Paul, Cliff, Jen and I met, and shot Southern Dutchess Sportsmens 3D course. Another gorgeous day, almost cool for July, and a fun course to shoot.
Paul lit the place up with his new "Bling" bow. He shot mid 280's in the open class. Jen was on fire from the womens stake. She shot a 263, and she goose egged the alligator. Great shooting babe! ;D
Cliffy struggled at times, but shot awesome at times. I'm not sure what he ended up with. Chime in Cliffy!!!
I made the decision to shoot the whole course with the back tension release today. I needed to make the jump, and figured today was as good as any. The first half of the course I was pretty happy with how it was going. By about target 10 I was beat. Not sure if it was just from concentrating so hard on the bt, or what. But I was smoked after 10 targets today. The second half of the course I absolutely imploded. I never even totaled my card up, it was that bad...lol . I just fletched a dozen arrows, so I'm ready for round 2 with the Evo ;D I'm determined to beat this thing.
Here are some pics from today...
Cliffy at full draw....
Paul showing off the bling...
Jen at full draw. The shadows wreaked havoc with the picture taking today...
Me battling the Evo...
Jen showing off her bling...The Hoyt bling layed the smackdown on us today!
One happy group...4-10's, 3- x's!!! ;D
2 more 10's from the Hoyts!....
Paul about to nail the Elk....
The southpaw about to let one fly on the Elk...
Heres a tricky shot. Yup...thats my arrow ruining 3 10's!
I had a bunch more pics, but with the shadows on the first half of the course, you couldn't see the targets.
There was some good shooting today, and I learned a lot about shooting the BT release. It can only improve from today ;D...I hope!
