I’m getting ready for the ASA 3D in Gainesville. To really get my 40 yard pin set, I shot a round of 5 spot from 40 yards.
I also am working on how I come into the target. I’m coming in from the left, dragging the pin across the target. I have always come down on the target, but sometimes freeze up above it and cannot come down. Coming from the left is taking a little getting use to but I’m starting to feel comfortable with it.
I shot 284 with 18 x’s. The thing I noticed was that the 4th and 5th targets were where I messed up the most. I found myself getting tired.
My question is, How long do you take between shots?

I don't know about today but it used to be that there was a 3 minute limit and I used most of that. As an aside.....I beat target panic by adjusting my sight pin to allow the 10 ring to set atop of it rather than covering the X with the pin PM Vonottoexperience with this question in case he misses it. He is a real force in this area...an amazing shooter that can lend good advise

I think it's 4 min to shoot a end in 5 Spot. I never timed my shot sequence but I try and shoot with a rhythm. After the fist shot I rest the bow on the stabilizer, pull out an arrow load up, take alittle time to get calm, think about the X and start the shot sequence all over again. Your being "stuck" over the target is a form of TP ... going into the X from the side will only last awhile before you start hanging up again. You need to do some let down drills and some blank bail.

Thanks guys.
I shoot all 5 shots in less than 1.5 minutes. I think I better slow down.
I had been thinking about letting down more often. It seems like the shot following a let down is always dead on.
