???Hi has anyone tried making thier own? At the price of them here (almost the same cost of 5 arrows) (for 3) there is no way I'll pay that! Have bought all the parts and am going to try making my own. Have you made them and how did they last? I'm going to fined out, but let me know how you made out. Love making my own things as long as they save me money. P.s .I'm useing alum. arrows and hopefully I will fined the game and also the arrows> all parts from Wal-Mart.

Well, I've made a few, or attempted to anyway, I have about a crappy success rate, they all worked once or twice, most all of them quit within a week or so, I have one left that works, and it shuts off on impact... but those little thill bobber lights are fragile and at 3 bucks a piece, plus time and hassle, I would have been ahead had I just bought them already done....So, I just ordered 6 archers flames, supposed to be the best , and they should be here in a week, so we'll see............ ........... when these things work.. they are awesome!! Can't wait to shoot some night aeriels!!

I agree with voodoofire. I have made them to but unless you by the parts in bulk there is really no huge savings once you count time and effort involved. Well I guess once you get the process down it could save you a few bucks. You'll have to experiment with different types of glues to find out what works best. I used fletching/insert glue on the ones I made. But if you have the time and can experiment then it is a fun project. I made a couple and had the same results as voodoofire. But anyhow good luck and I hope they turn out good for ya.

I've made them!! work great use them hog hunting !! i just use dollar store super glue , thill bobber lights, and buy some extra nocks !! time and effort to me is minimal!!to me it's like fletching arrows, something to do!! this only works on carbon arrows!! here is a way to do them and yes it's about a 1/3 of the cost!! youtube.com/watch?v=hMqLT-4ezzk&feature=related
