I shoot two of the same weight arrows, and find that up to 25yds, they are identical...but my bow is fast..292fps...after 25, the stiffer spined, and heavier arrows start to hit low, and left...increasing as the distance does....

Just for clarification: two different makes of arrows with the same spine have the same spine despite weight changes. Typically a heavier arrow has a stiffer spine.
The same spine arrow at 8.9 gpi will fly a little lower - especially noticable with your 30- 40 - 50 yard pin gap.

Thats close enough to a 40 grain gain and thats going to make a difference. Depending on your tune as it relates to timing....it could make a huge difference or a slight difference....bottom line is that it will make a diffrence.

Right Royden, I was going on the premise that he was going up one size on the same brand..

I am shooting Beman hunters at 7.3 and found Beman blackmax carbon mfx at 8.9.There is a deal on E-bay 3 doz.new arrows start $99.00 buy now $149.00.I sure don't need 3 doz in the first place mainly if they might fly different. Some times you get nuts when you see a good deal
