Just got my August Deer + deer hunting August . Any way old Ted says "tune it down" "Since moving to a 55-pound draw and blood- thirsty cut on contact broadheads,I've seen a dramatic increase in my accuracy and success rate."

Ol' Uncle Ted says lots of stuff...you have to pick through it pretty carefully to find the things that make sense.

There are truths to what he says but he has to realize that he is comparing self when he speaks. Compared to 20 years back , I am sure that this is just what he has found to be the facts Teds getting old and thats what he is finding to be the facts That said....I agree for the most part but not 100%. I know a hand full of people who shoot poorly with light bows while shooting very well with heavy draw weights. The reason for this is that when holding this heavier weight,it acts to lock the body in place. I am one of those guys and since I cant shoot heavy weight anymore....my accuracy does suffer some. I will agree that a good COC head is best all around for lighter bows and I think that this is pretty much common knowledge. Keep in mind that Ted is (to my knowledge) still connected to a company that produces nothing but COC

Good Ol' uncle Ted... Seems that folks either love him or fear him. Seems to me that dropping the draw weight will also slow the arrow... Maybe Ted was shooting a head that didn't fly as well at higher speeds, but is well behaved at slower ones!
