I have wondered about fletching colors. Archery hunters get all dressed in camo, buy camo shafts and stick brightly colored fletchings on their arrows. I know much has to do with visibility of the arrow for impact spotting, or lost shaft recovery.
What are your favorite fletching color combinations?

I shoot feathers. The brighter the better for me, shot pure white for a while, but went to the fluorescent's some years ago. I shot Trueflight Bright Stripes for a while in chartreuse and flo orange. Now I have gotten hooked on white reflective arrow wraps with white nocks and fluorescent hot pink feathers. Yeah, I know; pink. But it just stands out so well in flight and I find it a lot easier to find when my arrow snakes under brush.

Those look really nice, Red! Mine are all bright, but pretty plain. Really like that wooden trad arrow. Is that paint cresting or wrap?

Those arrows are so clean, and neat...I can't imagine how they would look after a week of shooting over here..I guess that's why I just fletch plain jane Red, and Orange Blazers.  Great arrows Red!   |

Thanks, Chief....life's too short for ugly arrows.  Besides, these ol' eyes need something clean and bright or I'll lose half of what I shoot in the backyard. I don't imagine a mulching blade and carbon shafts are a good combination.  |

Yes, when they find the Silver Flames they will think a great chief fought in battle...and not realize it was just a guy with some money that couldn't shoot... ;D
