After shooting a few arrows to get the speed difference between a WB and a blade type rest I decided to do a little accuracy test also.
The bow is a Newberry Sabre XL. 42lbs 30” Sword Twilight Hunter sight with .010 pin 12” stab. S.T.S.
With a WB and 2312’s I shot a 300-31X yesterday. Despite the horrible X count it was an easy 300 with no drama. A couple of the arrow touched the 4 ring but stayed easy 5’s. I think that that may be my lowest X count ever regardless of score.
I have noticed that despite conventional wisdom, the looser the arrow fits in the WB the better it shoots. This was the large WB and the 2312’s while not touching on the sides were just a whisker away from it.
Today I changed the arrow rest to a simple blade type, a Pace Setter 2. I shot a 300-52X. I had a couple of bad lapses of attention that almost cost me the 300. I just didn’t shoot as well today as I did yesterday even though the score doesn’t show it.
I think both scores suffered some due to the fact that I struggled to see the small pin. Tomorrow I’m changing it out to a .019 pin. I will also be shooting smaller diameter arrows. Most of my arrows are on the stiff side so it may be a challenge to get them to shoot well out of so light a draw weight.
I’ve been getting high 40-low 50 X count from the WB and my Iron Mace and standard size carbon arrows.

I have experienced the best flight with the biscuit when it is matched to the arrow and that an overly large biscuit allows too much room on bows that do not have zero nock travel. Tight is definitely not good When I got Hopesmans bow I couldn't achieve good flight or consistent flight with the aluminum biscuit whereas I had very good flight with the carbon biscuit. (he shoots carbon shafts) I really don't know anything about the mace beyond what it is. Does it operate on zero nock travel?

I shoot it with the nock dead square and the rest 1/16" low. It is fond of arrows on the stiff side.
