Am just starting with the bow, a 52lb. recuvre and am thinking of installing a sight. This is a older bow with no mounting threads. My ? is, are there any sights that clamp or attach to the bow without de-facing the bow and which stlye would you advise if I were to go this plan? I don't want to do any drilling. Thanks for your help. Would a peep be advisable also?

Not that I recall seeing anywhere. There were some, from days of old, that could be added by putting two wood screws in to the bow - if you can find one of these you might be able to use a rubber "O" ring to hold the sight on, they didn't have much mass to them. Or, you might tape a sight pin to the bow. On a quick look, I don't even see the type of sight I remember for trad bow anywhere... However, if you need to put holes in your bow, I would suggest using an insert to do so - you can buy them at : www.3riversarchery.com/Thumb.asp?c=46&s=208&p=0Just make sure that the size you use matches the sight requirements. If you use these, you would have a nice looking job of it... I went through a half dozen traditional web sites and none of them even mention sights. I'll ask around a bit and see if I can come up with anything. If I do, I will let you know! Anyone else got anything???

I have one, a vintage sight too, it attaches to the front of your riser with 2 screws.. but I'll bet you could use double sided trim tape, or plain electrical tape to secure it, if you want it.. just drop me a line and I'll get it out to you..................Steve
