I try to shoot a few arrows everyday after I hunt. Today I was building up some used Wasp bullets that were scraped from hunting and just for target practice.I had one arrow that wouldn't pass the wobble test even after trying a few heads.I figured I would give it a try.I shot it at the Rinehart tree stand buck and hit low but in the upper leg.The second time I shot it I could see it wobble in the air . After I removed it I was shocked to see what had happened . One bleeder had cut back through the lock ring AND THE INSERT plus split the arrow 1/4 inch .Also the tip is bent with a chunk missing on one of the 3 front cutting edges. Now that I am looking at it the hole head is bent . I can't seem to explain it and don't want to cut up the target to see what could have caused this to happen. It happened in an area that I shouldn't be hitting

Could you have hit the rebar or the insert for the rebar?

Is the collar that locks the blades down missing, or did you take it off? Or being 75 grain heads, do they not have the collar? Here is a picture of one of my 100 grain boss bullets. Notice the collar between the end of the blade, and the insert. yours seems to be missing this. Or possibly being 75 grain heads it doesn't have it to start with.

Guess I'm wrong, I just tried installing a 100grain boss bullet, without the collar, and it wouldn't bottom out in the insert. That must be the design of the 75 grain bullets.

I believe there is a collar on the 75's. It's just smaller.....or I could be wrong

Looks to me like you hit the "rebar" in the leg!

Yes I think I hit the metal in the leg.I stuck a pipe up into the leg and I think the tube that keeps the legs straight go's up fairly high. The 75 gr.wasp bullet only has one thin collar. The bleeder cut through it PLUS cut through the insert but held together to the point that it was hard to pull back so I could unscrew the BH. If I run into any deer out there that have any steel in them I have faith in the little wasp's ;D
