I picked up a new Cobra DRM sight for the wife's Diamond Edge today. It's a pretty good sight in that it requires no tools, and micro adjusts. My only complaint is that there are no hash marks to indicate where you are adjusting from , or to... She posted some good groups...fp w/ 85gr Stingers at 30 yds...

Thumbs up to Mrs. Spiker on some good shooting. Got to like the pink 4 fletch.

Great shooting :-*I love my Cobra. Are they 3" feathers? Have you compared 3 fletchings to 4 with the stingers.

Great shooting :-*I love my Cobra. Are they 3" feathers? Have you compared 3 fletchings to 4 with the stingers. Those are 3" Gateway Parabolic feathers (in Pink, of course), fletched in the classic BT configuration.. I shoot the Stingers with 3 Blazers, and Feathers, and the only difference that I can tell are that the feathers are faster off the bow....but slow down considerably at ranges past 60 yds....not a big deal unless your long range shooting... She doesn't shoot nearly as much as I do, so the feathers hold up a lot better. I would wear them out much faster, and the Blazers are a lot more durable... As far as 4 fletch w/ 3" to 3 fletch w/ 4", I think it's a matter of preference. The 3 4" feathers you would want to put a helical on to create spin, where the 4 3" feathers are fletched straight. All these scenarios with stabilize those Stingers.... Royden, do you think that is normal....I don't think I've ever come across a sight...even really cheap ones (which this one wasn't).. that didn't have hash marks to indicate position...

It's becoming less common spiker but you still see it on some sights - I am more fond of having the hash marks than having it micro adjust - if I had a choice I'd chose the markings.

I might have to agree with you on that....I didn't realize it until she shot her first set. I looked to adjust it....and they weren't there... I wonder if Cobra makes a tape, or someone does to mark the positions?

I had a sight on my High Country with no hash marks. I would just make a mark with a pencil to give perspective when moving.
