I checked my ATA and brace height this morning. The BH was right on (7.5") but the ATA was 3/8" short (31 5/8", spec is 32"). What is the 'acceptable' tollerance on an ATA measurement? 3/8" short seems like quite a bit to me, but what I don't know vastly exceeds what I do know!
Thanks.

Brace reflects the absolute while ATA may change based on many variables. Either is a reference at best but .... either measurement can foretell of issues that may effect performance and bow abuse. To short of an ATA is generally fine since it represents a fact that the limbs rebound is not exceeding that set by the manufacturer. In the same manner, brace shows similar diagnoses of the bows intended design. If the brace is less then transversely the ATA will extend and again reflex overextension of the limbs. Brace increases as ATA is reduced and visa versa. Better a shorter ATA than longer
