I have replaced this rubber dampener 3 times .Last time we checked brace, both strings and took about 1/2 inch out of the string to move the cam around to take some pressure of the dampener. It works for a while until the rubber gets beat up and softens.I called Bill at Center Sports and he will call Mathews Tuesday.I'm begining to think they have an undersized wheel.Or the arm that the dampener is in is not in the correct position. It has the allen head screws with a pin in them that I guess means don't touch? If they don't have a good answer it"s going back so they can figure it out. When you pull the dampener out the string is half way through the rectangular hole that it go's in.The lower one has never been a problem. It is shorter and when it is out the string is only 1/4 the way into the hole. You can see that the cup that holds it is starting to be pulled through ::)After anouther 30 shots it will blow right through after every shot. The string ends up on the inside but comes back around when you draw. The top wheel is 2 in.15/16s if anyone has a Mustang.

there is too much pressure there ... that string should just lightly touch the dampner.
Are you shooting with the limb bolts backed off? Having 'em maxed out will increase BH and reduce dampner impact.
you may have a weak limb there.

Im with Royden on this, there is way too much pressure there.Something is definitly out of wack.
Have you tried posting this over on the Mathews forum? Many of Mathews employees are regular posters over there and may be able to give you some good answers quickly. Either way Mathews will take care of whatever is happening, they stand behind their products. Good luck, Ster

Thanks: I looked up the same things this morning.I believed the soft rubber thing the first time.By the second time I was not buying it!I was born at night but it wasen't last night. I can tell just by the way the string is riding there is a problem with the bow. They list the brace at 5 3/4 or 5/8 plus?It might have to be moved up?I'll have Bill check it and call Mathews next week.

I hate it when things like this happen. I'd definitely send it back. For the time that you have into this thing......
