Well I finally got the 08 Synergy XT earlier this week. It felt like forever since I clicked the buy it now button. From playing around with the Martin I discovered my favorable draw length was 26.5", so I ordered a module from Elite.
I had been poking around Elites site to find the specs on the Synergy XT with Fire Cams and they were no where to be found. So that left me wondering. Finally I gave up and decided to post in the forum. Two going on three days later and no comments to my questions about specs. So today I decided to call and check on the mod to see if it had shipped. By their records it was delivered today. Sweet!! Next I asked about the Synergy XT with Fire cams. Not sure how I feel about this but apparently this configuration is a special order and only two have been released. I now have one of the two.
I excitely made a visit at the mailbox when I came home. The mod was there. I switched out the mods and adjusted the draw stop. Next I took measurements. From my measurements it looks like the specs for the Syn XT are the same as the Fire. 32.5 A2A, 7" brace. The one difference is that the Synergy has 70 lbs limbs.
I put on a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone rest and a Tru-Glow Extreme sight and headed out to the front yard. I did not make any adjustments to the poundage but the previous owner said it ws set to 63lbs. The draw was unbelievably smooth. I did not have any thing on the string but a loop and G5 meta peep. This thing is quieter than alot of bows I have seen decked out with sims vibration gear. Course there are six bow jaxs stuck all over the bow. 4 on the riser and 1 on each limb. The draw length fit perfect too! With a few adjustments I was shooting three inch groups at 40 yards. I still want to crank the poundage down a few turns and do some fine tuning but over all I am seriously impressed with this bow. The result in the changes to the cams is one of the smoothest drawing binary cam systems I have had the pleasure to shoot so far. This bow has quickly became one of my all time favorite compound bows.
Now I just need to shoot it through a chrono and see what speeds this little baby is putting out. The previous owner said 290 at 25" and a 305 grain arrow. We will see if that is close.
