I am anxiously awaiting Oct 13th, done a little turkey hunting but havent seen anything....yet lol going out Sunday to check a new property to me hopefully things will go well there for me.

Tomorrow is my opener here in VA. I have been "plagued" with a really bad cold for about 4 days now. Thankfully it is easing up now and I'm looking forward to being on my stand about 1 hour before daylight tomorrow. Deer sign in the arera has been very encouraging. I checked the trails by my stand today and they appear to be very active.  |

I got skunked on all tags this year so I am waiting until Dec 15th for archery deer. I missed the first season because I was in Montana working the Chippy Creek fire. I did get to go out with a friend for elk for a couple days and have a couple hunters lined up for early Nov and possibly one lined up for late Nov in the Kaibab. These hunts are for deer with rifles but hey, at least I get to go hunting.
