you are hunting out of a pit blind on the edge of a field and this guy comes walking in. he is 20yds out. shoot or don't shoot? if so.....where?

Well I would take this shot on the yellow spot (thanks BT - it worked) if there is no wind involved and my nerves are steady. This is a tough shot and if I'm jittery at all I would pass.

Royden, with that shot, you are gonne exit the middle of the chest most likely only catching one lung You might get the heart, but the heart is a small target. An inch to the right, and you are into solid bone. If anything, I would think you would want your shot to enter a little farther back to give you a chance at catching the off side lung.
I would try to wait this monster out, and let him turn just a little more to get a better shot angle. This shot can be made, but not easily.

I'm gonna stick to my "guns" - looking past the deer my shot is holding the very edge of his off side leg - which would put the arrow into the edge of the off-side lung hopefully. Any further back and I'm into the stomach - which can be like shooting a big wet packed fiber target - poor penetration.
looks like a tough shot, but if I'm calm it could be done with 2 lungs and heart too.
