You are hunting in an area where you are doing population control and any legal deer is a shooter. you have a buck tag and this guy walks in to drink. you are 18yds away and 15' up. what do you do?

I'd draw and wait for him to turn away - that shoulder is covering too much for me.

Here we are with the spitfire again. I am going to hold bottom of a very visible scapula and fire for the bottom of the offside lung. Why? .... the deer is not likely to turn right but is very likely to turn left. Turning left is going to offer no shot but I do have a very visible shot here. The spitfire is going to give me a good wound channel on a low exit and blow through the top scap plate should I somehow hit it. This deer wont go over 40 yards if that far.

Question, would you consider a shot about three to six inches further back than that mark? I think it's still doable? amybe not the best angle, but doable.

I would consider BT's shot with a heavy poundage bow and a good broadhead -
farther back NO the exit would be behind the ribs wich means it likely would be a shot that gets one-lung and corner of the gut.

I'd shoot the very left edge of BT's dot and not worry at all. I'll probably watch the deer drop. just don't hit high......you can see where the heavy bone is.
