I have been looking for good cover scents and lures for this season. I try to be as scent free as possible. I can't afford a scent lock suit so I wash my clothes on scent killer detergent. I dry my clothes outside and then store them in a plastic bag with an earth scent wafer. I spray down with scent killer in my stand.
What scents work for you? I have seen some threads about Buck Bomb and Deer Dander.
Does those wafers really work?
I used an apple gel last year and mixed it with corn early. By hunting season there was a whole and the corn was gone. We can't hunt over bait in Delaware. I had chances at small does but passed on the shots.
Thanks for the advice. This is the most informative site out there.

I like the earth cover alot. The best I ever have done is to take the lower layer of leafs off the ground and put them in a garbage bag and let that bag sit in a cool place for a few weeks. Then I put all my clothing in that bag for a few days. Comes out smelling like a potatoe cellar. Never got busted in this way and I will say that I saw more deer while doing this. I don't know if they smell the dank earth and come to investigate or what but I certain do see more when I am suited up in this manner.
As to attractant....never had great luck with anything other than a food lure. Maple extract works pretty good and Peanut butter a bit better. No joke

Interesting way of camouflaging your scent I was wondering if any of those scent free deodorants or scent free washes are actually worth the investment. I see some at Wally mart and they aren't inexpensive. I am sure that they are probably way better than commercial laundry detergents On the lure side of things, the only thing that I have seen work with any consistency in our part of the country is apples. They do like 'em and if you can get them to come in daylight, oh happiness
