Got a change to go bowhunting this morning with my buddy as we both were off work today.
At the first light I see six does walking across from me but too far for a shot. Looking like they would be going straight to my buddy who is on the ground hunting. Wind was blowing none stop all the time that I was up in the tree. Two hours later doe one then doe two then doe three, four, five, six......18 of them :ostart coming out! Same way as the first six went by earlier then six more came right to me and were right under my stand!
When I saw the doe one I got up to be ready and I was shaking from the cold that got me ::)and I couldn't draw the bow back with those six under me. Too many eyes! I was waiting for all of them to look one way then I can draw. They stayed around nipping on something on the ground and they weren't slow so I never got a change to draw. One would go down and another would pop up looking like everyone was watching out for everyone! Gave me no change to draw and they walked away the same way the others went. All of them walked right into my buddy and I thought he would be surprised to see them all and there were 21 all together!
I had to quit and get down to pee and go back to my truck as I was so damn cold! In a half hour he come out and I asked if he had seen them. He said saw none... ???that's funny as they were going where he was standing...He said he could see me with the blue light on my head climbing up the tree in the dark and he thought I saw him but I didn't see him but knew where he was.
This is the most that I see in the second day of bowhunting and I was trying to fill the last doe tag and that was an easy one! Maybe another day. This is so much fun!
How about u guys how many in a bowhunting day did u see?
