How many days left ?

I am talking about real days here....not days of the week

I have around 18 left which equates to 9 weeks.

That is if I get to use all of them.

Hunting season is always so far away and so quick to pass

NO days left because I already used my 2 tags (1 deer and 1 turkey).

Thats the problem with Maine....only one border state.

Not saying that I use my ability to it's fullest either but I have 4 states + my own that I could hunt if I wanted a speedy divorce!

If my Dad or Bro would tag out their deer (they both got their turkeys), I would get their trail cams and start tracking coyotes.

Well, I have still have about 80 days between here and CT. I figure about 5 days a week I'll sit in NY. I'll have the last week or so of Nov here and december. So I figure after my trip out to IL about 25-30 days hunting NY and only 10 hunts or so in CT come jan. I'll be hunting hard all day for 8 days in IL this next week. If I'm lucky and don't get burned out i'll have close to 50 more hunting days. I'm doing really well so far and haven't put in 50 days so in reality I'm just getting started. It always seems though it gets tougher to drag myself out and tougher to get on deer as it gets into december.
I really live for those still, quiet morning sits where the temps are in the single digits though. I may not sit long but it's good to be out. The world always seems so peaceful, clean and clear on those mornings as the sun comes up. It's crazy but I like seeing my breath and having ice grow on my beard. Those mornings will be set aside for the recurve this season.
