For the RUT!!!!!!!!!! Im outta here tonight wont be on for a week or more. Have the wall tent ready to go and Im headed to central Illinois for the rut. It actually looks like I will get a complete hunting season in this year. Last year I was down working Hurricane Katrina in October for 21 days. The year before I was in Florida working Hurricane Jeane and Francis for 5 weeks. Love helping out but it sure messed up archery season. Will give you a full report when I get back. Don

Well Im back.
The hunting wasnt very good due to the weather. The rut slowed way up and movement was at night. I did see three nice bucks and had a 140 class ten point come in and bed next to a deadfall 30 yards away. He got up and left the same way he came in and never offered a shot to me. I was perfectly fine until this buck layed down and just sat there. Then i started SHAKING so bad it took a bit to compase myself. But thats what keeps us coming back isnt it??
Yesterday I drew on a 8 point as he walked through my shooting lanes and let him walk. He had one tine busted off on his right side and I would not have put him on the wall so I let him walk. We where hunting a area where all the bucks have to have at least 4 point on one side (he was legal) but I was also way in over 2 large creeks. I told myself I would not shoot anything back there unless it was going on the wall.
So im back and will be hunting here at home. I have to see whats making that monster rub on the one place we hunt and tommorow should be awesome. I will hunt the morning, and then my son will hunt the eve with me sitting next to him.
