Saw the numbers for years 2001-2005. The harvest of deer in the first year was around 500,000. In 2002 the havest rose to 550,000. Droped every year after to a low of 350,000 in 2005. Either there's a whole lot of hunters not hunting or there's a whole lot less deer. The guys who only want a big buck are happier, but for how long? If there aren't does there won't be bucks born to hunt.
