That is what my father told me one time as he laid out the plans to take some Slick deer that would watch my stand area for movement before coming in. These deer would lay in the field or inside the woods line during the day and then feed the clover area in the evening. They were smart enough to always have their eye's on the clover patch so that you could not get in there without them seeing you and if they did they would just avoid the area until you left , then they would walk right in. Well this went on for two days when my father said..."you know something?...deer cant count" What? Well (he continued) deer cant count so if you and I walk in together , shoulder to shoulder and then I walk out alone , they will think it's all clear. I am thinking to myself... .....old mans lost it! But since he is my father and it seemed like he wanted to help so badly I just said nothing and agreed to try it the next evening. Guess what?....it worked So if you are ever in this situation (and I know you will be at some time) remember this story .... I certainly will

anytime i hunt my bro's property an we both head out at same time,we always walk together,i hang around his stand for one or two minutes, then proceed to my stand. cant say fer sure if its ever helped, but we like to think so.especially since the stand is on edge of a 10-14" tall pine tree thicket about 10 acres in size.we no they bed in there.i usually make a lil talkin noise(not too loud) wile he is climbing up an getting situated, then i leave wile talking softly so they can hear me leaving.like i said, cant say fer sure that it has worked, but i look at it like,it def cant hurt since this is only about 150 yards off the road an away from the house an barn.they r used to people talkin an sumtimes walking around.
