Ok as I am learning to feel my way through here.. can we count hogs?? ;D Ok deer,,man I have been lucky to be able to bowhunt alot of places,Texasboars website has helped me out with this,,getting permission to hunt hogs,,means deer I have shot a bunch of deer in my 15 years or so though it didnt start off good.I went 3 tears before my first. Then it started to just be a common thing,,about this time I started getting hogs. here are a few bucks My biggest with my bow is 179 and 3/8. I have again been lucky and I wouldnt trade a thing for my experiences. I just hope and pray that my daughter and son follow my footsteps Does,,I have pics but does are for tablefair and get rid of the jitters,, I want a monster. Though saying this its not the size but the hunt,, but I always would love bigger

Very nice looking mounts! My Buddy Mac Daddy has told me all about Texas undergrowth and how easy it is to lose a deer in some places. I know just what you can be facing at times In some areas you could make a perfect shot and still lose the deer just due to the cover. It's hard to say how many deer there are lost to blown shots as opposed to just terrain. Thats the impression I am left with due to input from people as well as photo's of hunting area's. Whats your opinion of my insight?.....am I on the mark , close or just way off base?

Well it can very alot,,here I have thick briars bloodweed and even vines and stuff like honeysuckle that will just seem to close all exits ..you cannot crawl through it where a deer can go through in half a second. Down south its cactus and more cactus and thorns ,its also hard to track them there because who is in their right mind gonna crawl trough a 12 stand of prickly pears..so you go around and try finding blood on the other side, then go 6 feet and repeat.it really helps having a few buddies. I try to hunt just off field lines, the does and young buck seem to come buy early and then the big boys will hang righ in with me till its dark.

imagin if you were paying to hunt them! Yeah, that could get expensive. ???Florida's two deer a day limit and my addiction to hunting led to the those number of deer. The first 8 years after I graduated High School, I only missed two days of of hunting season. I operated a small water plant and could set my own hours. The large number of hogs was due to an effort by the Club I was in,to wipe them out. The clubs on both sides of us were buy good blooded hogs at auction and turning them loose in their woods. Sadly, they did not stay there. Most of the hogs I killed came over a five year period. I got so burnt out on killing hogs after that that I went a number of years without killing any. I've just started back to shooting the occasional hog and then only if it a perfect eating size and very close to the road. I will not drag one very far.
