azslim, tried my hand at this tonight. The gravy didn't get quite as brown for some reason, but none-the-less it was a big hit with the family. The kids actually loved it, and I usually have to force them to eat! Thanks a million for a good recipe!

I really can't imagine even kids or those who say that they don't care for the taste of venison not liking this recipe. Can't think of any reason why your gravy wouldn't darken up. The issue is usually the consistency of the gravy rather than color. However, neither would have an impact on the great taste. Hmmm, I'm making myself hungry and will have to dig out some meat to make a batch for the weekend

I generally use a beef bullion cube in the gravy which darkens it up and adds some taste as well.
