Long story short I have been living in denial. Three years ago I was shooting a 28" draw and was told it was too long. So last year I finally grudgingly moved to a 27" draw. After much internal review and checking my draw length in the mirror I have finally given into the fact that I need to go even shorter. Not that short is bad but no guy wants to be called shortie. ;D
After looking through some reviews I decided to try the Martin Bengal as the draw length range on the bow is 25 to 30 inches and it comes with all the modules. I really really like the 07 Synergy but I have finally faced the facts that I can not shoot a bow optimally unless it fits.
With that said anyone had an personal experience with the 08 Bengal? Thanks.

I haven't got any experience with the bow other than hearsay but What is important is what you have found Good deal

I have an 07 Bengal. I love how smooth it draws and I can hold it all day.
But I am going to be completely honest. With my draw length this bow is nothing more than a 20 yard bow for me. I am looking at putting my bow fishing rig on it. It is set at 24 1/2" draw and 56#, 315 gr arrow, 223 fps. I got a pass through on a doe at 20 yards, 3/4 penetration on a doe at 30 yards and less than 1/2 on a buck at 40 yards. And then my Antelope at 35 yards. I recovered all animals and had good shots on all 3 deer, just can't get the KE with it.

Thanks for the input mtshooter. I'll be shooting 70lbs so that may help a little. BT I'll be sure to post feedback. It should be here on Thursday. I ordered it from Keystone. Other ones I had thought about was finding a switchback or maybe an outback. If i find I don't like the Bengal next after I have some funds maybe the Diamond Marquis. But I have not shot a Martin, seemed like a great oppurtunity and at the price for this one not to expensive.

All I am going to say is I love my Martin Prowler at 25" draw and BT can confirm when you get the draw weight up there this thing sings. I now shoot at just about 60lb. probably will not go any higher.

I have nothing against the Bengal, it is a great bow. I know that it is my draw length and poundage. I need a bow with double cams and not a cam and wheel. Just a result of being draw length challenged It tuned quickly and I am dead on with it.

The opposite end of the spectrum is worse. i see at about 1 guy a year at the shop with an honest 33 or 34" draw. Sounds great till you realize that are pretty much screwed except for VERY few bows special ordered from only certain manufacturers, so you can't try it to see if you like it.

Could you possibly have an Elite dealer get you some 26.5" and 26" modules to try out? Perhaps someone at AT or the Elite forum have those modules.
